At Penhouse, we have been designing creatively since 1996. We build brands through successful marketing collateral in print and digital media. We like to think we offer a little bit more than the expected and today we are proud to boast an impressive array of award-winning work, for both creative and effective design, for our wide range of long-standing clients.
Many years ago, we moved from the centre of Dublin city to the heart of rural Laois in the middle of Ireland. We renovated stone farm buildings, transforming them into contemporary graphic design studios. Surrounded by barley fields, changing with the seasons, we’re lucky to be freshly inspired from here each day.
We create effective designs that evolve and age well. We have a customer-focused approach to marketing, a practical attitude to budget management and today we are happy to say, we have a diverse range of long-standing, happy clients.
We build brands through print & digital media, working with great people and interesting businesses of every size. We think laterally and imaginatively about what is unique and special about each service or product, then find an original and creative way to interpret this.
Our services include: logo and brand identity design, packaging design, marketing literature, web design, brochure design, annual reports, advertising, exhibition & display.
Today we are proud to boast a big shelf of awards and a decorated wall of accreditations for both creative and effective design. We won our first internationally judged award in 1999. Since then we have won 2 grand prix awards, 3 gold awards, 5 silvers and numerous highly commended awards (as well as many kind and much appreciated compliments on our work!). You’ll also see our designs featured in lots of national and international publications.

We are a close knit team of highly motivated, senior designers with a passion for design excellence. We enjoy pushing a concept to its limit until we find a truly original solution. While each of us has our own individual style, all our projects are worked on collectively. Together we bring varied design experience, different styles, skill sets and a positive, creative approach to each project, offering a fresh vision every time.
We work as a team, brainstorming ideas and pushing concepts to create beautiful design that is effective in the marketplace. We like to work closely with you to truly understand your business. It’s important to us that you enjoy the design process as much as we do. We want you too to feel excited, reassured, stimulated, challenged, inspired, and invigorated along the journey. So our days are filled throwing ideas around. We’re always trying to come up with fresh and different ways to get our clients buzzed and ultimately create designs that excite us.
In this process, we search for the alternative, research and read lots. We come across some ‘out there’ designs and other ‘wish I had done that’ stuff too. We started this blog to share and record some of the cooler things we come across, as well as some of our own activities too, all of which collectively shape our thought process. Enjoy this breath of Fresh Air…
