We are hiring…

Penhouse Design is a small, successful, graphic design company, working with select clients in the areas of food, youth, tourism & hospitality, heritage, government bodies and small businesses.

We offer our clients a team with many different skill sets, all with a common goal – to produce beautifully branded design, highly effective in communicating to its consumer audience.

We are now seeking a talented designer to join our team…
Is that you?

Ideally you should be highly visually aware and have an active interest in all things design. You should be a quick thinker, skilled at multi-tasking and a clever problem solver when it comes to interpreting varied and sometimes complex briefs. You’re stimulated by new challenges and interested in working as part of a team to design creative solutions for our clients new projects, but you’re happy to do the basics too. You need to be proficient in the Adobe CC suite, primarily InDesign and Illustrator and fluent in English.

Creative branding and packaging design for new products and services will be part of your job – from initial concepts through to finished art. We also design many reports, so expertise in creative layout and smart use of typography is essential, from initial design through to exploring digital and print-ready solutions. We would be recognised for our use of strong colour and we often use illustration in our design work too.

We’d like to see interesting samples in your portfolio, demonstrating how you can deliver stylish design, through all brand communication touch points, achieving smart results.

You will hit the ground running here as we have a very busy studio! You will therefore need to have a degree level qualification in graphic design and at least 3 years studio experience in order to work at the required pace here.

You will need your own transport as our studios are based in the countryside. We are approx. two miles from Stradbally in Laois – home of the Picnic – and four miles from Portlaoise. Our quiet countryside location, in a studio surrounded by barley fields, offers a unique setting and will certainly appeal to those wishing to escape the city.

If this job interests you, we’d love to hear from you.

Entice us please with a creative application, telling us about yourself and including your best design samples to
