Oh dear… The international clothing brand Gap, just launched their new logo design online and it was met with such a huge spread of negative criticism, that they have now announced, less than one week later, that it will not be used.
While the new design was initially defended by Gap, the company have now decided to reject this and stick with their classic, decades old logo. The company is saying they have to listen to their customers reactions. If what is being publically suggested is to be believed, then their management of this move, seems to have been poorly executed and unfortunately it back-fired. Some question however if it was a genuine design move at all, are Gap learning a hard lesson or is this merely a marketing ploy?
