We began with names and tag-lines, mindful of the national ‘Taste the Island’ campaign and conscious that this should seamlessly tie in.
Welcoming people to our county, to our markets, to our restaurants and as guests to the table, is core to the food and drink producer’s ethos. Thanking our customers too, plays such a big part of the overall experience and so it seemed natural that ‘you’re welcome’ would be central to our messaging. When you come to Laois, you’re welcome to visit our farms, you’re welcome to our markets, you’re welcome to our restaurants and you’re welcome to taste.
The identity we designed is full of colour and energy and houses an icon for the TASTE group, allowing for future expansion as this brand grows. Creating a system for displaying imagery, from each producer, ensures a consistent image from the group, allowing the identity to permeate through each.
October has been designated Laois TASTE Month, so fitting to launch this identity, with a range of events organised to showcase what the county has to offer. You are invited to sample the tastes, meet the makers, network, make connections and celebrate!
